My drawing skills aren’t great, but this hopefully gets the point across. Lower the body of the bass and hold the neck closer to your body.

Yep that's about where I have my D-roc slung and it's nice & comfy.

Anyone here run their Dingwalls through a Phil Jones rig?

The TL;DR is - I'm possibly getting a Phil Jones M-500 head and 9B/6T cabs. Normally for live shows I use my Fractal Audio gear. For home recording it's either the Fractal, or a Mesa D-800+ into an Ampeg 2x10. The Phil Jones rigs have long interested me, and I've never played one at all. Curious if anyone here has (especially recently, or has pretty 'clean' recordings).

I've got a PJB Briefcase that it sounds great through for rehearsals, but I don't have any of the giggable PJB gear.

No recordings, except what is on YT, so I don't count those.

Got lots of PJB and Dingwall stuff!

I'm hoping you have your eye on the very same 6T and 9B I've been making excuses not to buy!

I’ve got a few basses I have been thinking of selling to fund a custom build. Last week I started playing them all again just to make sure I wouldn’t regret it. One of them was my first gen Combustion 5. I haven’t played it in a few years since other basses have become my go to choices.

I had kinda assumed my flirtation with multiscale had run it’s course and I settled back on my Roscoe and a few short scales… until I played the Dingwall again. I’m still blown away by how good this bass is and how I have neglected it. Needless to say, it’s not going anywhere.

Also, anyone have info on the serial numbers for the first gen Combustions? Mine is 00031, does that mean I have the 31st Combustion built?

I have an old school combustión that it looks like someone did a DIY respray on
It took me 3 owners on the used market to get it but I love it! Rosewood too :)

also curious as i think a 9x4 would be cool.

Ahhh man, could you guys slow down with the cabinet talk? I am trying not to think about grabbing something lighter and more efficient.
I have always wondered about those PJBs and I have caught myself checking out Gentler Arrays recently... a lot.

I'm a Mesa Subway fan myself. The 15s are phenomenal.
