I just ordered some Daddario NYXL strings for my Super P5. Been playing it with flats for about a year, but it’s time to hear it with nickel rounds again. Anyone else tried the NYXLs yet?

Sheldon has a couple of videos up on setupI have a new to me ab1 5 string. I have just played it “as is” and not touched the setup. It is too low on the B side.
what specs are you guys using for your 5ers? Relief and string height?
i will look at my ng2 because out of the box it really was a perfect setup for me. I tend to be heavy handed, and like some fret buzz when i dig in. I am also probably over focused on near straight necks and low action.
Not on a dingwall but on many of my basses. Ran them for about 8 years then switched to eb cobalts. Personal preference change but recently put some nyxl on my sandberg and reexperienced how great they soundI just ordered some Daddario NYXL strings for my Super P5. Looking forward to your review as they're my regulars on non-D basses.I just ordered some Daddario NYXL strings for my Super P5. Been playing it with flats for about a year, but it’s time to hear it with nickel rounds again. Anyone else tried the NYXLs yet?
I like those strings, I haven't considered them for my NG3 because my Super Long XLs tapered before the nut by about a quarter inch. My thinking is that the NYXLs are the same, I would love it if I were mistaken. Please lets us know.I just ordered some Daddario NYXL strings for my Super P5. Love that yellow AB1!
I recently got a new NG3 in Ferrari Green and I love it! Hoping to get the same one but in Afterburner soon, I am thinking about a replica of Ayumu's bass (need a pickguard)

those ng’s really are a fantastic gateway drug to the custom offerings. I literally have nothing bad to say about my “green bass”. It just plays and feels so good.
Killer playing!
What about the neck shape was different? My first Dingwall was a Z3 from 2019, well, spectacular bass, but I prefer the body shape and the neck shape of the NG3!
The only thing I preferred in the Z was the sound, and the hardware, but that's about it
Looking forward to trying the Afterburner someday
Thanks!

great playing and tone! Clean and big sounding.
to throw a PG on an AB like the bass you mentioned. There is some modification to be done to the neck heel. It needs to be shaved down to accommodate the guard.
Your old Z3 sounds quite congested in comparison, how do you explain it ?
The Z3 has an awkward thin neck to me, the B and the G were way too close to the edge of the fingerboard,
