Yes. Quite close to their “lime green”. Also basically a modern reproduction of the early 1970’s green gelbgrun (“yellowgreen”). It is cool that porsche reused that classic early 70’s colour.

Oh for sure. But i mean the actual paint codes… looking at pigment composition. I dont trust internet photos… but the general colour trend is there.

when someone says “nice ferarri green” on this thread… i want to be able to say… “no… porsche green!” The rest of the world will have zero clue. :-O

I quite like that Porsche green. I’ve been leaning towards a FG when I get a D-Roc 5 from Canada, some day, but I really like that Porsche Green.

I'd think that your concept would work on a 4 or a 6, but not a 5 string, as the A string would land in the middle of that. But I agree - that looks time consuming. I've got one with full lines and they've never been a problem for me. Next fretless will likely be with one with the tiny side markers.

I agree. It was specific designed for a 6. I woulda come up with some other hair-brained scheme for a 5.

And, holy CRAP it's difficult to pin down a value for my older AB1s. No, I'm not fishing for a "what're they worth" here. Just lamenting that the pricing is all over the place on them, so asking reasonable prices for mine is proving difficult. Plus I kind of want to move one of them to someone who hasn't played/owned one previous, to bring more people into the fold... so I'm thinking of sliding a bit under what current Combustions/NGs go for. There's a couple old AB1's on reverb for $3k+ right now, which is insane to me.

Yeah - it mainly seems up right now, though I've seen some deals out there. Not long ago older ABs were definitely not getting what they are getting now, though there are a few people trying to take advantage and it won't likely work (a used AB1 for $6500 for example - nice top or not).
