Meh! My crystal balls sees a bunch of dusty Rics in the foreseeable future. Heheheh.
Dingwall turns GAS to DAS…the 4003xc will be interesting. It is a bit of a rare bird and instant collectable in the ric world. But i hear they are neck heavy. And Already my ab1/dg is my favourite tone by far… but the rics are sweet. I feel like i will struggle with a quirky busy look of the 4005xc… and short scale… after basically melding with my minimalistic multiscale 5er ab1.
i think the biggest threat to the rics might be a four string sz or spj. And my gas for a 60’s reissue fender jazz is basically dead.
The advantage is they make me want to eliminate quite a few bases. Bad side… they make me want more dingwalls. Need a sj or spj… and a z with fancy wood. Then i would be done. :-ODingwall turns GAS to DAS…
lolThen i would be done. :-O

Yeah that colour if they can match it (and i am sure they can as it is an active Porsche colour). An Afterburner in this color?
I never really cared much for green basses until I began to see what Dingwall can do with them.![]()

It was going to be an ab2… and i struggled to decide on my colour (i had 5 options i would die happy with). But i needed to solidify my build. I have a green ng2 that has become a bit iconic as the “green bass” so i had to have a green ab. (Ng2 will be sold).
so i went ab1 because i decided that i liked the simplicity of the body… and i felt the tone chamber distracted from the simple lines. I am sure an ab2 would be great also… but i promised myself no more changes.
so it is basically a six string version of my yellow ab1.

Porsche lizard green
i am sure it will be 99% identical to ferarri green (LG seems a bit less yellow… but they are both yellow-greens). But i am a Porsche guy so Lizard green it is!
Not sure how accurate things are with photos (lighting, saturation) but here is what i think the comparison will be.I like that green
Looks like it has a bit higher saturation than the FG.Number 3 is april. Going with porsche lizard green. I am sure it is near identical to Ferrari green… but porsche all the way!

A bit less yellow from what i can see. The colour codes would tell me. But i dont know the FG code. FG is apparently not an actual official Ferrari colour.Looks like it has a bit higher saturation than the FG.

Oh for sure. But i mean the actual paint codes… looking at pigment composition. I dont trust internet photos… but the general colour trend is there.Just quickly using those pics and a free web tool:
