Over tighten? It really doesn’t take much. On almost every bass I’ve touch those too nuts are basically finger tight
I noticed it when I was installing the new tuner. Just when I was installing the washer and nut. Must have happened when I removed the original.

The weight (!), ergonomics, and neck of my Dingwall is still hard to beat, even though this Corvette Std is major impressive.
You will have this sentiment the rest of your days. No matter which model of dingwall you have it will be hard to prefer other basses. I have other basses but as a go to dingwall wins
Do you think it is worth asking Dingwall about? They have a 3 year warranty.

I, too, ran into this problem when I started using Dingwall fours many years ago: After contacting Dingwall about it, they hooked me up with not one but two shortened set screws for the Hipshot, free of charge.
Of course, if you're handy with a vice and saw, you might just shorten it yourself.
Would you mind measuring your screw length? I definitely wouldn't mind cutting it down knowing it'll work and have enough adjustment to function.
No problem at all. Overall length of the screw is 23 mm, the threaded part of the screw measuring 16 mm.

... I'm REALLY enjoying this droc. To the point that I don't even miss the B. I have been in Drop C for the past few days though. It handles pick playing so dang good. I do want to swap the pickups still and probably the preamp one more time. It's almost there for me in tone,, ITS ALL THE WAY THERE in comfort and playability.
Any Droc and AB players that can answer this how different do they sit? I'm usually a high wearer with the neck at a 45. But the droc is super comfortable slung lower with less incline, and I prefer this for picking.

I think this is the 5th Dingwall I've owned in 2022. Haha.
-Got a black NG3 5 string in a trade. Really enjoyed it. Ended up selling it when I was right on the verge of keeping it.
-Got a 2012 ABZ. Didn't really bond with it. Traded it for a Muck that I just sold.
-Got a KILLER ABI 6 string with a wenge neck.
As silly as it sounds. This was kind of a test bass, as I had never played a Dingwall 6, and never played a Dingwall wenge neck. It was amazing, but it wasn't 100% what I wanted.
After the first NG3, I placed an order for a 6 string AB with a wenge neck, so I could try both. I figured I could break even reselling this bass when my custom came in. My furnace blew up, and I sold it to recoup that money.
-Missed the first NG3. Got another one from Jason @ Fretnation with the 6 way and Canadian knobs. Was planning to keep it.
Let a friend play it. He really wanted it. I also noticed another 6 string ABZ up for grabs, so I sold my NG3 to my friend and grabbed it.
-Here's #5.
It's fairly close to what I ordered, but with a maple neck and a natural finish. It's also under 8.5lbs.

Good story and damn, if you're ever looking to part with it for #6, I'll be happy to take that off your hands. I love my ABZ and it could use a more reserved twin (mines bright pink)
