One measure and two cuts with my dremel knocked it out. I cut the spring short too and just left the cut end facing the head of the screw. I'm pretty sure I have a doublestop extended lever in one of my drawers I need to bust out.

Anyone with a Combustion/NG replaced the stock nut with the black graphtech ones that Jason sells?

Yep. Talked to them today. It's because they are abandoning fanned frets and going to normal parallel frets and 34" scale. They want to get rid of all of the fanned fret stock first. Also the new basses will be made by Warwick.
My understanding it was due to The new software by submission audio..
Every band leader can now just program Jacob Umansky as their bassist so there is no need for new instruments..
The clip where Jared Smith compares his tone and playing to Umansky bass is crazy. I'm curious what his signal chain is as the tapping sounds so insane.
