I'll grab whatever but if I take the time to pick one it'll be the FLOW 4.20 first, followed by the Stubby 3 and then the 1.5-2mm ones. If I want to play something pretty and strum chords I'll go for the .88 brain pick

I probably double thumb more often than I use a pick.
I use Dunlop Nylon .88. I like that they’re textured and give you a little more grip when your fingers get sweaty. I started using them when I played guitar mostly and they’ve kinda stuck with me since. If picks get too thick, I don’t feel like I have as much control over my pick strokes, especially when double picking. I only use a pick about 10-15% of the time anyway but I like them on the medium side. Not too thick.

Typically, Dunlop Gator Grip in everything from .58 to 2.0, but usually the .96. They’re a nice middle ground, when I don’t need the extreme ends of that range.
I use a pick for around 10% of the songs I play.

That looks a lot like my ABI. Circa 2006, I think. If this one is like mine, you can’t really photograph the flame top in a way that does justice to seeing it in person.

The square pickups are just the older model shells. They've gone to rounded shells. I do not remember when the transition year was though.
They are a previous FD model. I think FD1. I think the transition was 2008-2010ish.
They resemble the modern Fd3 more so then the FDV

How do the neck shapes/sizes compare?
I own a 2003 Q5 (with the thicker necks compared to the pre-2000s ones) which feels great to me.

They had FD3's in the square shells as well. The FDV's came later and were only in the round shells, if I remember correctly. I think the pickups were the same, only the shell shapes changed. So whatever pickups they had at the time changed to the new shape, by the design was the same.
Looking for a new gigbag for a Dingwall, thinking about another Dingwall bag. Has anyone tried the Mono bags? I think they’re more expensive, I’m not sure if they’d fit the 37” scale length.
