Interesting to learn there were different saddles on different Custom D-Birds, in the least!
I bought Monsters dBIRD but realized I prefer the Droc more with the deeper cut away. It now resides with Nola and I bought back from Thumper my Droc standard with the audere 3 band and Hipshot hardware.
Snagged this fella yesterday. Waiting for it to show up.
Guitar Center. It has an upgraded bridge too.
I'm surprised the previous owner isn't here.

Hello Club! A question- is Canadian Dingwall gig bag hard enough to use for flights? I don’t have a flight case and have a gig in August and so I have to hand my bass to luggage on board the plane. I have D Roc and ABZ with original gig bags. The Canadian one obviously look harder than the D Roc’s.
I've only had one dog come from GC. Most often they just need a proper set up end they're good to go. My current favorite the wombat was a steal from GC used.
If it goes in the cabin then yes but it sounds like you’re going to gate check it so that’s when it starts to get pretty risky. I wouldn’t gate check mine in just the standard case.
if you can get it in the staffs coat closet or in the overhead storage it’s good. Definitely would not check it though.
a box of chocolates goes along way with the flight staff!
Those are what I put on my old D-bird. Much better than the import ones.
please report back on the bridge (Payson?) and if it’s modified in anyway (slight route?)
The Canadian bags are very stout. I flew up to Seattle 3 weeks ago from Northern Cal. with my AB without issues.
You all are giving me some GAS for a droc custom 
I really liked my droc standard and I was going to buy a white custom with Wenge/Wenge neck but this ABII popped up and I just... had to have it. I really loved the droc shape. For me, I think it was the most comfortable bass I have used up to this point. Light, thin, super cozy, tiny tiny fast neck. The only thing I wished was different was the number of frets and strings.
Anyway.
I got the 3.5mm hex wrench and I set up my ABII again. It's not perfect in the way that it is a bit short so it was awkward to get it in there, so I see why Dingwalls own truss rod tool for the domestic models is so long...
But I got it set up and now I can adjust it some more if needed. Still might splurge for a proper Canadian tool one day...
My thoughts exactly on the comfort and feel. And for me the extra frets isn't a deal breaker for me, if it t was available I would choose 24 but I'm just fine with it as it is.
Welllllll....Looks like i have something Canadian with lots of strings coming soon...Have to sell my beloved NG3-6 and some other goodies but will reveal very soon!
