I'm interested in the Payson bridge. Am i seeing correctly, is there a gap from the monorail bridge on the G string at the top of the bridge?

it looks like there is one. Think I’m going to inquire with a local luthier to see if I can get that plugged or filled somehow.
Has anyone placed an order for a custom with Rupert Neve preamp? I'm wondering if you can get parallel/series switches with this option.
I JUST placed mine with the 3x toggles and the neve pre
I believe the bridge takes up slightly less surface area and the grounding wire part is slightly exposed

So much awesomeness! My very high expectations after a few days with this beauty have been exceeded. The biggest surprise was the tone and definition that is so far beyond my NG3. The other big thing is that this bass is the most balanced bass across all strings i have ever encountered.
The true test of an amazing bass for me is when you dig in and really start giving it a pounding and it just sounds better and better.
Time to rest my ears and fingers for tomorrow!

I haven’t been able to find any demos of the Neve preamp. Anybody else find any?
Oh no, what's wrong with it? Nevermind went back and reread. I wonder if I'll have the same issue, I pre-ordered the new batch of bridges from payson

I'm on my third EHBms and will likely always have one in the lineup. You can't beat it for it's compact size and light weight. The neck profile is super fast and comfortable for me. Stock form they'll more than get the job done. But, every one of mine has had various nordstrand pickups and different preamps put in. I view them as my favorite modding platform. I've been able to snag my last two used in the 750-850 price range.
I would love it if they or dingwall would do a four string 37-34. I don't understand why they haven't yet when they promote the dominance of f a 37" B but their four strings that can be shipped BEAD only have the 36.25"

I don't have any issues with it at all. The bridge is fine.
I found something I really want to move on and want to free up the capital.
My prediction that EHB’s would be widely available, for fairly cheap, on the used market, has not proved out. They do look like a great mod platform, and the very light weight, compact design is attractive.
I’m still prowling the classifieds, like I need another bass or a project…
As far as four string Dingwalls go, I love the longscales. The lowest string might be 36.25 instead of 37, but I can’t tell the difference tuned E-G. Maybe for a B or lower tuning, it might be a deal breaker, but where else would you get even 36.25. And the fours tend to be super light weight. My AB four string is just 7.5 lb. And many string sets will just make it on the E for length.
