What do i need to do to convert my ng3 6 from low b to low f#? Do i need new nut and bridge saddles?
The dingwall or payton sets/singles will fit the saddles since they're tapered, I'm guessing you're putting a .170F# on top of a standard 5 string set?
The nut is another story- you will need to file the slots larger. I did it myself using the new strings; using them as files to cut new slots. Makes sure the size is right but takes a while and some effort! You could of course also get a luthier to do it.

Seems like it overloads a 12" speaker pretty well....

After a long stretch without a Dingwall, I finally picked up a Combustion 4 in Whalepool Burst!
I had originally owned a Combustion in Trans-White, but had to sell due to financial reasons..
So glad I was able to grab this one from Eddie’s Guitars. They took great care of me, and it was shipped to my door in 3 days.
The bass is amazing, but I’ve had a Darkglass Tone capsule in my parts drawer for well over a year, waiting for this bass.
I’m hoping someone can help me with a straightforward diagram to swap out the EMG preamp.
I reached out to Dingwall, and they were more than happy to provide me with both the NG-3 and Combustion wiring diagrams, and told me about a solderless connection.
That’s the route I’m going for, but looking at these diagrams, I can’t figure out how to do this solderless swap. The wires are different colors, and the EMG terminal has
5 wires..opposed to the Darkglass (4 Wires)
Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated! For now, here are some quick shots of the bass!

The blue machine is fantastic. It's a bit of a chonker at 10lbs, but it's not terrible. It sounds and responds incredible.
My drummer said last night "This is the best sounding bass you've ever had"
Which is good, since I'm the main thing that poor guy hears in his IEMs besides himself.

I was in camp ‘those fret markers are ugly’ until I made the connection. Now I absolutely can’t get enough of them.
I've been trying to find good, cheap and easily available strings for my D-Roc 5 for ages now but a few weeks back I bought a few extra Dingwall B-strings from a local who had accidentally bought 5-string sets for their 4-strings. I had gotten a few extra 4-string sets when I bought my D-Roc 4 from the shop for a few mishaps with the bass that were lying around unused and now I'm in love. Already ordered bunch of extra sets from Thomann, that's the way it's going to be for me for now. For the four-string I'm still trying out different sets since Dingwall doesn't make them thick enough. If someone knows a shop inside EU (aka not UK) that stocks Paysons, let me know.
For now though, here's me trying to push the limits of the standard 45-130 set in Drop-F#. I've also finally figured out the angles that make the Aquamarine really *pop*, just wait for those body shots
