Fwiw there have been a couple of heavyweights made recently with Mahogany bodies. I think Jason at FN had one on hand in the last 12 months

There’s always the options of an ebony or wenge top if you like dense woods. You might even stack both by going for a contrast layer, which is where purple heart also becomes an option afaik.
Yeah, I noticed several mahogany Zs as well … micht be worth a thought but I’m not sure you‘ll be able to switch at this point from your dual density (ash, presumably?) order.
If you mean the 'Beverage Cooler', it comes with the gig bag. You can see it here on the Thomann branded gig bag that's the same OEM.

Nice. The Z3 i got came with a gator ATA hard case and no domestic gig bag, which was a bit of a bummer. I was looking forward to using that for local shows where a hard case wasn't necessary.
Also, I may end up returning the Enki, after messing with it a bit more. I am just really not liking how awkward it is to load/unload with how high the front bottom part is and how easy it seems to be to hit your bass on the hard plastic and ding it up. I could easily see that happening while on stage if it's dark or cramped, and it'd be a nightmare to mark a domestic Dingwall by doing something as innocuous and ironic as putting it into the case you spend a ton of $$$ to protect it...
Hopefully gator makes their minivault in bass form soon, that seems like another decent potential option for the "hard case + safe stand on stage" thing. The gator ata and Hercules stand I have might just have to do for now.

I bought this (mostly) blank plank Super P4 from Bass Direct in the UK recently... it arrived earlier this week. It has edge lines, and I'm finding it to be not that scary, actually, to adjust to. Of course, any fretless player uses their ears, and since my favorite bass is an SJ5, the fanned finger placements seem pretty normal to me. I'm going to get a SP4 in the near future that will help me with the transition even further, I think, as all of the finger placements (and neck, body, etc.) will match the fretless.
Like many here, it hasn't taken me long to fall hard for Dingwalls... and my monoscale basses have been gradually exiting one by one to pay for Dingwalls!

Looking for some help to differentiate the pickups on the Super P. Been eyeing a custom shop for a while but can't find information on the different pickup options.
Pickup Options
Neck position: Dual
P Bridge position (optional): P-Tone (standard), FDV, FD3, Super Fatty II
If anyone have more clues, I'd appreciate. If someone in Canada or USA have one for sale, hit me up.

Played my first gig since switching the FDVs in my SJ for SF2s. Tonight further reinforces my opinion that swapping pickups in this bass was the right move for my needs and tone goals. The SF2s have more of what I want and less of what I don’t. I played on bridge (series) plus middle (parallel) in parallel with each other all night. The EQ on my Glockenklang preamp never moved as there was no need. The SF2s are really fantastic pickups.

I don't know if anyone follows Ayumu, but... 26 frets, 32"-34"! I'd reckon it's a pretty unique offering.

I always thought a 36" - 33" (5-string) would be interesting. They could call it the STD model (split the difference) between the regular extra long scales and the Super Series models. Same fan spread, but over different scale lengths.
