Yeah, this:

I think one other time we were talking about it here, Sheldon chimed in with how many basses got it, and it was single digits? Like 3 or something maybe?

I think there is around 9-12.
I’ve come close to buying a couple of them but finances at the time weren’t appropriate.

Then I did get to play one As excited as I was to play it, and it was gorgeous and amazing as usual with a Z, I wouldn’t choose the switchblade system unless if it was already in a bass I was interested in. In the end the simplicity of the 4/6 way switch and a pre works well enough for me.

Of course if I was a collector, well that’s different!!

Oh nice! I mostly want it for the novelty, not gonna lie :D I'd play it, but it'd be more a collector piece. Unless, you know, it blew me away then all bets are off.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of the SF2s, though this combo may be neat. Would be a unicorn among my Dingwalls...
I would go for FD3s myself but as you said, this things pronouns may be Uni/Corn

It is not how I would spec a bass these days but it is definitely an amazing variation to one I would spec otherwise.

it is a true masterpiece. And those 3 contrast layers are a really nice touch.

Okay, I’m saying what everyone’s thinking: Triple contrast layers should be reported for indecency.

Also, the way the mac ebony top stealthily hides the triple pickups / fanned bridge assembly only to show more contrasting grain towards the sides … nicely done.

With all my respect and love for everyone who enjoys theirs, Zs are rarely my cup of tea, visually. This one, though … good thing I‘m barely getting used to playing with a fifth string, otherwise I might be in trouble. Fantastic choice of woods.
