So nice, love the northern ash!
If Nordstrand has rounded-end Dingwall pickup shells (or can make them reliably and accurately), that's huge news.Haven’t picked this up yet, but damn….pickups are Nordstrand PolyVox multi coils.

Oof, now I'm thinking D-bird with triple Big Singles.Yes, they can. The shells are actually sourced by Dingwall. Nordstrand can get them for you.
Nordstrand 2-band, active/passive with master tone.Interested in how these sound. What preamp is being used with those PolyVox?
I’m probably going to be posting some 5 string Big Blades with Dingwall covers in the classifieds soon.If Nordstrand has rounded-end Dingwall pickup shells (or can make them reliably and accurately), that's huge news.
Happy Friday! - new (to me) D-Roc day to start off the weekend right. View attachment 5437229
I'm definitely going to have ask Nordstrand about a set of those. Would be a great match with the Underhill filter preamp I'm using.Haven’t picked this up yet, but damn….pickups are Nordstrand PolyVox multi coils.

I love it.....there's just something awesome about how the customs feel/resonate with a wenge neck. The FDV's can really grind and they provide a nice contrast to the SFII/SFII/P-Tone setup in my ABZ. Why did I wait so long to buy a Dingwall?Congrats! I had brutal fights with my hoarding instincts to avoid buying that one twice. Once when it was for sale at Ish, and again when Mike put it up on Reverb. I bet it is a beast.
That looks great. Congrats!Happy Friday! - new (to me) D-Roc day to start off the weekend right. View attachment 5437229
It’s human nature or at least often male nature to buck the trends and deny change in a positive direction. lol.I love it.....there's just something awesome about how the customs feel/resonate with a wenge neck. If you’re even on the fence, the Z is the gold standard, IMO. You won’t even think about the cost and wait after receiving it and playing it. My passion for my Z knows no rival. If my theoretical and totally non-existent wife said “me or the Z” it would be the Z without hesitation. But that’s just me. lol.I was toying with a Z3 order. Put it on hold. Then those new tops came out. But then the one I wanted was gone already. Now on hold again.![]()
