Payson Stainless steels!!
they do start out with an aggresive feel but once broken in they really smooth out like nickels almost. They sound amazing to start and last a while but even after they are broken in they retain a very awesome and crisp sound for a long time. The sound may actually be more suitable to most then the brand new sound.
I did request it and they included it.Did Dingwall include the drilling template? If so, excellent service.

Help me out here, what exactly are those? Because the template makes me think S-P switches, but the last time I checked the Dingwall S-P switches had all the switches on a single circuit board, right? Like this?
You are correct in that is what they are but this is a different variation to what you have pictured. I’ve had a few basses with the one circuit board and a few with independents.
my speculation would be that without the CNC doing the drilling the individual switches allow for human error or variance
I have a feeling the three individuals are more appealing as well - easier QC (fail one switch vs failing an entire assembly of three), easier fitment in cavities (plus gaining some amount of maneuvering room), and at a hunch, more affordable as well (less complex board, easier to source, etc).
Hmmm. Interesting. Several years ago, I made inquiries about getting the switch assembly, but was told that it wouldn’t fit in an NG3 because they’re meant to go into a space that isn’t routed out on the NG/Combustions. I’m planning on simply installing regular toggles on my purple NG3, above the DGTC pots, like in the below pic, now I’m wondering if there’s room there for the switches like you have, just to simplify wiring.
I bought one of those single PCBs with all switches on without realising it wouldn’t fit an NG. Can confirm: doesn’t fit.
Had a few things on the "if the clouds ever part" wish list. Not for the best of reasons, but it recently rained a bit.

In the event I want to try to install the D individual switches, might I ask where you got them, @AB Nate ? A specific dealer?
Agreed. Note that recent custom Drocs on the website seem to sport those however.
Fortunate for me I don’t imagine I’ll ever be looking to score a Droc/Bird.
Just not my jam.
Played a couple of them and know how awesome they are, we just aren’t a match.

My NG3 started out with its original owner as an NG2. The third pickup was added, a Canadian bridge (he got his hands on one), and it was converted to 3 dipswitches for s/p on each pickup. It also has a passive tone control and a stacked pot for the low and high mid on the Darkglass. Later, owner #2 added the 6 way pickup selector. So I can at least attest, it can all fit.
