You could easily do the same thing with some vinyl and wouldn’t even need a fancy vinyl cutting machine. Easily reversible and under $10 in total.

It’s always entertain when folks call mods, upgrades. A minty bass is about as good as it gets IMO.

adding a 3x kits to a routed bass , heck yeah. Added value. Oil based black fretboard….. not so much. Hahaha

You mean all this dirt (or chips, I can't tell) isn't an 'upgrade'?

I'm pretty sure this one is a repainted regular Combustion due to the non-matching headstock (NGs are all matching as far as I'm aware) and the orange peel you can see in this image which screams shoddy paint job. Wonder what preamp is in it.

Why pile on the pink NG-2? I thought we were supportive around here. Agree, some of the work looks shoddy close up, but I bet the bright pink looks killer under stage lights, and you already know it sounds fantastic, because Dingwall. Nobody listening will know or care that it used to be natural with matching headstock.

Edit: OK, OK, I scrolled through the pics. The splotched-on "fret markers" on the side are a bit much. I'd get a little angry every time I glance down and see raspberry jam stains. It would've been worth $12 at Fret-Glo to get nice, neat stickers.

Speaking of ridiculously priced imports, the pink monstrosity seems like a deal compared to this used 4 string blk NG3 GC has up for $2800.

I don't get how they priced this more than new for an in stock production bass.

GC generally seem incredibly ignorant of the bass market and what a used bass typically goes for, and all too often, they don’t even know what they’re actually selling/get model details completely wrong.
