I’ve been mostly using the neck pickup liveNice pics as usual!
So how did your tone evolve from the Super P (or did you compensate for the change elsewhere in your chain) and what pickup config do you end up using most?
It sounds close to the Super P, but in a more “transparent” kind of way.My Super P “sits”/blends more in the mix, the SJ cuts through with the tone fully open. The tone can get pretty dubby if I close the tone control around half way, which is pretty useful for me because we switch styles mid-song and throughout the set between rock, ska, reggae & latin.
However, I had to bump up the gain on my live preset quite a bit. The FDVs are much quieter than the Neo P-tone.
This is from last weekend, I came down with COVID a day or so after and didnt feel like posting much over the week. This was the first gig I used the Bergantino Super Pre into IEM and FOH, it sounded KILLER! one of the last gigs with the finger splint though.. got all 4 digits back, kinda
