I heard Custom so it may be awhile before we see some in the wild.Is the Effigy a custom shop or import line?
Heard from Jason. These are going to be somewhat like the Fastlane line. Canadian but with limited options. Any preamp with or without toggles.I heard Custom so it may be awhile before we see some in the wild.
Unless I'm missing something it sure looks like they could pull it off with any of their model lineup. That could actually be a pretty good looking choice too.I do like a headless, I wonder if it's possible on the D-Roc.
That was one of the clues that made me think this was based on ABsI hope they offer a wenge neck optionThat and matte black and I’ll have my next order set. I’m not a super fan of that plain maple block at the neck joint screaming out for air between the colored body and darke wenge fretboard

For guitar wall hangersWhat is the purpose of the foldable headstock wings?

The back has no ergonomic contours, too. While I personally love my slab Music Man Classics (to offer a counterpoint to your experience), this does indeed seem like an odd decision, especially in contrast to the popular Ibanez EHB series.
Wildly speculating, but maybe this is a way to keep costs lower? That would be in line with some of the Fastlane DNA we’re seeing.
However, Bass Direct (UK dealer) is speaking of "around ABII money" on fb … Maybe it’s a hollow build, then? That might be another reason to do away with contours.
Can’t open the link, unfortunately. Could you possibly provide a screenshot?I saw a reel on Instagram that shows the body is thicker at the end and thinner in the middle. Hopefully this link works:

The video is up on Youtube now:
Does a tapered body mean you don't need contours somehow? Looking forward to reviews from the show floor, and to hear Sheldon break down the details and design choices even more.
