Yeah, I was REALLY lucky when I saw that one hit my email. If it were a 6 string, I'd be in some deep crap right now.Speaking of hard to resist. This just appeared on Reverb. Jason has excellent taste

lol. It has me thinking I want a 5 Z again.Yeah, I was REALLY lucky when I saw that one hit my email. If it were a 6 string, I'd be in some deep crap right now.
I’m down to one Dingwall. And I’m weak. I need someone to buy this. Quickly.Yeah! That is beautiful!
I like your logic Nate....a second Super! You just sold a killer long scale!! Be strong Will be strong!!! Surely a gorgeous second super will show up in the nick of time for you!!![]()
Oh, That's It! Thanks for the pic. Nice job. That's going to have to hold me till next year.
It’s a killer AB dude. I really like the looks of it. I’d love to hear audio of it.I honestly think I'm good on DAS for now. I love looking at the new creations of course, they're wonderful. And I would like to, someday, replace my AB6 with a Z6. But not enough to get in line and pay 2025+ pricing. If a used one pops up, with basically just wanting FDV, Neve, and Wenge (or maybe the roasted ash) neck, at the right price, then I'd probably sell my AB6 and get that done. But really, putting a solid hour+ every day in with the new Z, plus time with Bloodmoon Z, and my Prima Artist... it's really hard to have a feeling of needing anything more or new.
Heck, if Sheldon and crew would re-make my AB's neck into Wenge and sell a Neve to retrofit, I'd just go down that route instead tbh. I do like the bass, just, not the neck so much. Partly the profile, but, mostly the maple just doesn't feel how I want it to. SUPER nit-picky for me to beI should've just eaten the up-charge when I ordered it.
I've looked at your Z for sale a few times. Unfortunately the Neve for me is non-negotiable part of it. I'd be fine with whatever finish, even pickups since those are easy to swap, and I could be fine without toggles. But, the Neve is such a game changer for me!It’s a killer AB dude. And I totally get it about the specs. On my builds I figured I’d spec exactly how I want and deal with the prices. Even to the point I budgeted sending my neck to Mo on the fretless as the shop wouldn’t do what I wanted upon creation.
All that said, a couple of my fav basses are not at all my spec but they are perfection in their own way.
Of course your Z36 search sounds darn near described as what I have for sale…but again, if it ain’t right, it ain’t right.
What I find personally amusing is that my Z36’s, especially the necks on them, are perfect.
Yet somehow my Spector 6 is completely different… chunky(like super chunky), parallel, different scale and I absolutely adore that bass as well. Its not as fast of a neck to play but it’s a pure pleasure and it sounds incredible.
Sometimes there is a great satisfaction in working with what you got va chasing some minor details.
… oh poor us with these major crises we have. Lol

It looks like a chocolate river. Like when Homer went to chocolate landI deem the finish "Lava Flow". It's so liquid.![]()

Howdy! My first Dingwall, and all I can say is WOW!
Congrats and Welcome to the Club!
I wanted a D tuner for my SP1 four string and Dingwall tech support said it would involve a lot of machining to get it to work. There’s very little surface around the E string tuner. Bummer, but makes sense.Good question... It uses a different type of tuner.

That fantastic! Can you share a part number?
