All of my PG’s came from WD Music. Great to deal with and Great work!
No wonder we can't find any in stock...
WD Music made these? Do they have a template for it? They don't have Dingwall listed on their site.
I like my SP-1 so much, I feel like buying another one and modify it with 3 pickups.
BTW, I am sending my SP-1 4 string’s pickguard to Greasy Groove in Canada. They’ll soon have a template if you want to order a custom pickguard.

Been using Dingwall brand nickel strings on my combustion 5 at gauges .45, .55, .80, .100, .130
I was thinking of going lighter for a softer touch and comfort. Anyone got a recommendation? Nickel or steel fine. Doesn't have to be Dingwall brand, but obviously long enough for multiscale. Thanks.

Check out Payson strings. If you don’t see sets you think will do, email with your request.
Payson set me up with very light nickel rounds. 90-35
He has plenty of choices for light.
Paysons also have the same tapers on the larger strings, he specializes in strings for longscale multi.
Also, check in with Jason at FretNation.com for a wide variety of strings that fit Dingwall longscales. He’s even set up a whole section just for multi scale.

I came across a set of La Bella Flats in my cabinet this morning and was about to put them on one of my Fender Ps but then thought…what if I try them on the Dingwall? Turns out they totally fit the SP1 and I think they sound/feel great!
Played the Effigy today... What an instrument!
So cool! I’m stoked for this model! My dealer said I should be getting one of the early 2026 builds but nothing finalized yet.

Here’s my full collection of 4 basses with half my collection being Dingwall.
The AB1 has a magnificent B and compliments my Fbass VF5 (Brazilian RW board btw!) very well. Really I have no need for 5 strings.
The Reimer P and Super P are more similar than different and I favour two pickup basses lately. With all that’s going on in the world, my days of heavily buying, selling, trading basses is certainly been cut back. With costing $400CAD for shipping, duty, etc to trade a bass over the border, when you do it a few times, you can literally buy another bass. Anyway, happy to have an all Canadian lineup!
