Rotary Switches - StewMac
5 and 6-position rotary switches for custom wiring, PRS guitars and Varitone circuits.
Not 100% if this is the right type of rotary switch, but it's a 6 position and on sale if anyone wanted to mess around.
I think that’s the one. Of course you gotta connect the dots but if you can wire the pick ups to it you can most likely handle the internal portion too?Rotary Switches - StewMac

Damn....Dingwall GAS reactivated. I don't have a long scale 5 at the moment. And this one makes me nostalgic as I sold my macassar ebony top Z3 5 several years ago. (Temporary insanity.) I may be motivated to move on this beauty if someone makes a decent offer on my Super P 4. Thanks for the heads up @AB Nate !

I’ll echo that Rich is great guy!I hear that. Ive got multiple other non-bass related assets for sale too and people are holding tight it seems. The housenis gonnabe going up soon and i wish there was more optimism in that market outlook too.

We live so close, met up a couple times over the years for some small deals but this past summer, we completed a couple trades that is both happy.
I’ve traded basses with people from China, UK, Switzerland, all over the globe save some the expensive ships like Australia, Brazil, or Russia. In some cases I didn’t speak the language of the person I traded with.
The times are so weird now where brands that were once average, have elevated themselves. Even stuff from overseas is great and you don’t need to spend as much money and get a quality build.
Dingwall has always been impressive. Entry level stuff meets levels unseen in more expensive instruments in the 90s or early 2000s. Makes it tough to say, should I trade away a Super just get a back pickup? Do I really need it?

Has anyone tried installing a quick change pickup wire connector on a Canadian Dingwall with the toggle switches? My Dingwall ABZ4 is one of my most comfortable basses, but it seems like I’m always going back and forth on whether I like the FDV pickups or not. I’d love to try a set of super fattys or FD3s, but it would be cool if there was a way I could make them quick swap like EMGs.

Hey Super J owners - I'm on the fence on jumping into the Dingwall world, particularly with a Super J. I'm usually a Fender guy, but in the mood for something cool/modern/different.
On Dingwall's website, they list the nut width at 1.65", as opposed to the traditional J width of 1.5". Does the 1.65" nut width feel more like a traditional Jazz Bass 1.5" nut width, or does it actually feel a bit wider? I'm used to P Bass necks so I like the 1.65" on paper, but was wondering if someone with experience owning both could chime in. Thanks!

My Super J 4-string feels skinnier than any of my other Jazz basses (Warmoth vintage neck profile, and a Status Graphite Jazz replacement neck).
I don’t recall if the measurement is taken perpendicular to the structure of the neck, thus making it more comparable to a single scale bass, or if it’s taken along the nut itself, which account for the added length.
