Anyone try these new D'Addario Multiscale NYXL strings?

The tension looks okay - more balanced than most of their regular strings at least:

There's also a coated XS version.

I’ve used both the NYXL and XS, both a tad too flexible for me at standard but I’m mostly a higher action/light touch player. I liked the NYXL a lot when playing rock with a pick and both sets have a growl, the XS being centered lower.

getting close to finalizing my z3 order.

my dingwall experience has all been fd3 or fd3n (balanced) or fdv (mid focus).

inwas thinking about droc 4 way switch (bridge. bridge and mid parallel, mid solo, neck series with mid/bridge in parallel). if it had bridge and middle in series i would he sold.

also thinking of bridge fd3, middle super p (good for droc switch), and maybe super fatty for neck.

thoughts? i kind of want to try something different from traditional fd3 3x, as i have x2 ab1’s with the setup… but curious on suggestions. curious about the “all in” droc setting… but thinking that might be best paired with a fdv at neck to fill out the mids.

You could always get a 6 way switch installed that has the B/M in series as an option. I'm not sure if there are any real limitations with the selections, but you can get most of the d-roc & 3x switch selections that way. I went that with my Z3 and would recommend it.

I love the SFII's.

I'm curious about these also. I can't find if the 130 is tapered or not
