Dingwall Owners Club

Hey all!

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but since it has something to do with Dingwalls, I thought I'd start here. Mods, please move if necessary.

I'm looking for guidance in mounting a GK-3B to my ABZ(I'm pretty sure it won't fit on my Combustion). I know someone has been successful, but there is relatively ZERO info on what changes I need to make. Any and all help is appreciated! I've got an email in to Sheldon and one to Roland, and I'm gonna post this in the Effects thread also. If anyone has anything or any ideas, please let me know...

Thanks!

Search over on Sheldon's board. I know that not only has someone done it, but has posted pictures. Although IIRC it was a few years ago, like 2006 or so.

Yeah, I checked there. The pics are gone...:(

I'm gonna keep going with what info I've got, but it's probably gonna be a crapshoot...

I'm going to get this to work because I think it'll really help our sound. Since we only have one guitar, I get to fill up the extra space!

Not sure if it's too late to join the club, but I love my Combustion. Can only drool at the "real" Dingwall models.

If it's not real, you must be pretty good with photoshop. That's a great color.

Also, welcome to the 'club'. :)

I say this occasionally just as a refresher, but we don't issue numbers in the Dingwall club. There's a bunch of reasons for that, and as what was as close to a 'club leader' as we have ever had, I made the executive decision. My reasoning:

-Dingwall fandom should be a 'big tent'. Even those who love them but can't afford one right now, or had to unfortunately sell theirs should be 'part of the club'

-People who did get one of Sheldon's basses, then sold (for a variety of reasons) wanted to 'turn in' their numbers. Beyond being a pain to juggle that, you can STILL appreciate these basses without having one any more. Lots of people would say "I sold mine...But I'll have another someday"

-People wanted special numbers, multiple numbers, etc. We're a family and on a level playing field here. There are no "super members", some found Sheldon's basses earlier or later than others, some have one some have many... Just because someone can afford more of them, and/or different price points is completely beside the point. They're ALL great basses, from the shorter Super Series, to the import combustion, to the most custom Primas and Z's.
