An unmastered (and Soundcloud smashed) snippet of the single from the upcoming Socionic record, currently in the final mix stages with Nolly from Periphery...I used the SJ for nearly every track on the album, and we'll be debuting this tune alongside a whole bunch of other material alongside Nothing More at the Glass House in October :D

Just got back from practice, used the ABI for Set 1, the SP5 for Set 2. The band unanimously gave the SP5 the thumbs up. Combined with my preference for the SP5 neck it's a no brainer. The Fender P5 and the ABI will be going into the classifieds, a pity, I really like the ABI, I imagine it would be a superior Rock bass, especially for someone with a longer finger spread than mine. But I want to practice on the same bass at home and practice, and this way I won't have to transport one, so I can still ride the Harley to practice.

Of course if anyone who has an SP5, SJ5 or SPJ5 under 8.5 lbs wants to work a deal on a 8.1.lb ABI with $ coming from me....

Ok, so I may have overreacted. I played the ABI at home to tighten up a few songs based upon last night's practice. I'm gonna hold off on selling it, it fits so perfectly to play while seated, and plays so silky with the TIs. And it does bring the thunder!

Besides, as I recall the P5 always sounded a little thin through my LMII /Audiokinesis 115 (gigging rig). I doubt that will be the case with the SP5, but the ABI is a good insurance policy. The new beater is almost there, so we're going to start booking gigs, and I'll know for sure.

Sheesh, I feel more flighty than a teenage :rollno: Oh well, until it sells, maybe the P5 can be trade bait..... covering my head and going into hiding

If it was a maple neck I'd be in some surrious trouble right now. Had bad experience with dead spots on wenge necks and trouble getting enough fundamental to be present in a live setting, and this was from a very famous luthier. This though, that's a sexy sophisticated mature woman right there and she's giving me fits.

I feel her breath in my face, HER BODY CLOSE TO ME, can't look in her eyes. SHE'S OUT OF MY LEEEEEEEEEAGUE. Such a fool to believe I have anything she needs. :sigh: she's like the wind.
