I think this is my favourite bass ever! The only think I would consider changing is the fb to a zirricote. Maybe even ebony!!! Ebony would look so evil on this bass. I guess I could even leave the inlay..... I think it's an N right???

The inlay is Aleph which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. I wonder the significance to the future owner.

I do not have an NG-2 but I did have to add some shielding to my ABZ to quiet it down. I have seen the pickups mid-construction, they are shielded prior to being potted in epoxy, but for whatever reason mine had failed. If the noise you get doesn't quiet down when you touch metal/strings/bridge on the bass then shielding is not your solution.

I don't want to double post, I hope this doesn't slip by the crew. I am posting in here to see if anybody has ever had issues from leaving a bass in their Dingwall deluxe gig bag. I am referring to the one with a neck support and the orange logo, not the bag with the gold logo with the fur lining. I have my ABZ5 sitting in it's case and it might be there for a while. I have never had any issues with long term storage from my gold logo bag but the neck support has me concerned. The neck has a poly finish so I think it will be fine but stranger things have happened.

It could be a bit longer than one month delay. I think they are swamped.

I like the Mono M80 and although I still haven't seen one yet, the Gator ProGo looks interesting.

I don't dare pick it up and play it but I find myself just standing there and looking at this ABII bass due to the curl mesmerization.

Got a link? I'm actually planning a trip to Berlin.
And trying to make ergonomic adjustment to my office... but finding an adjustable split keyboard with a Swiss/French (QWERTZ) layout seems impossible.

In order not to be too off topic, here's an old pic of a friend jamming on my former ABZ (while I was goofing around on drums and someone was evidently shaking a tambourine)

Ha ha.
Well, I couldn't receive it in without making sure it worked properly :). I did limit my testing because I knew if I didn't put it down I would want to keep it and if I had of told my wife I planned on keeping it she would have taken me back behind the barn and shot me.

I once damaged bones and tendons in two of my left hand fingers. Wasn't allowed to even move those fingers, let alone do any fretting, for several months after the repair. Relearning to play helped a lot during rehab, though.
