I'll jump in here on your side rockinbilly, I've seen strange prices floating out there as well.

I saw this new NG2 for 1580.00 on ebay, free shipping. I thought what the crap, mine was 1700 two years ago? Maybe dealer pricing has come down enough for more aggressive pricing?

No connection to the seller, just amazed that a brand new NG2 with all the improvements over my 2015 model is cheaper now....

No big deal, there's worse ways to spend time than chasing a Dingwall deals.

I'm always prowling TB classifieds, EBay, and Craigslist in the Pacific Northwest. I keep an eye on Bass Central, Bass SanDiego, Reverb, and a few others.

What I'm seeing, right now, is maybe one used sixer on TB. Lots of new on the retail sites at full pop.

I'm not likely to hunt in Canadian territory, as the hassles of international shipping continue to increase.

Given the generally very soft market in used basses, I'm impressed with the scarcity and gererally quick turn over of used Dingwalls.

2016 but new I gather ????!!!

Ah, so it's a deposit and balance due when it arrives. Clever but confusing if not misleading somewhat.

The ebay NG2s are apparently for real at 1580 and 1530 free ship.

Then there is another specced out like mine for 2700 or so. For the added charge you are getting either an insincere attempt at relicing, or its been carried around in a cardboard box filled with pea gravel....

Wierd. I was thinking the opposite. I've seen some nice ones lately. On kijiji Canada there are 2. There were 4 2 weeks ago.

I agree - I think there have been quite a few for sale lately. There are a couple on Reverb, there is even a Super J at Guitar Center!

The pea gravel NG-2 is down to $2380. No, I still don't think they are going to sell it anymore than the Sklar with neck dents and scratches which was going for $3000 (now down to $2800).

EDIT: Pea gravel NG-2 is in Japan - that is why.

I've been seeing that blue Sklar for sale for months, doesn't look like it's been treated too kindly, be surprised if he even gets the $2800

At any rate, even tho I paid the going price for mine, as soon as I played it for the first time I felt it is worth every penny!. All the testimonials from fellow Dingwall owners here on TB were absolutely on the mark!!!

Glad you like the bass! I had a tough time making sure you got it this week and was glad to see UPS bumped up your delivery date. These are amazing instruments.

I just saw a 2017 NG2 5, new I think, for $1,300, at least if I understood the add correctly. You could talk to Michael at Shome Music to verify.

Do you have more info on that?

I believe that was just for a deposit. Total price was higher.

Indecently, I just received my new NG2 5 string yesterday and amazed at the sound, playability, and versatility of this bass. Even more killer thru my Bergantino B amp, and pair of Reference 112' speakers. best bass I've ever owned hands down !!!!!!!

The "$1300" NG2 you're thinking of is for payments. You pay $1335, then you pay $600. No one is going to sell a new, or even used, NG-2 (or V4+ Combustion) for that cheap... pretty sure that's below cost

Let me clear this up. The custom tuned White 5 was pre-ordered and was local for a regional touring metal group bassist ENduVal . He was ready to leave and pick the bass up and was trying to pay for it and he found his credit card wouldn't go for the full amount. Somehow the software would not allow split payments so he frantically called me to make it into two payments and he gave me specific amounts. I did so and he was able to complete and come pick up his bass and has a gig using it tonight.
Sorry for the confusion, I apologize. I was really super busy this week with shipping out 8 NG2 basses and cabs and amps and it slipped my mind to remove these listings - it is gone now.
But the good news is we now have EIGHT more Dingwallians in our fold and all of them I have heard from are super happy.
