You can set up keyword alerts for the classifieds. I recommend doing that, as it's generally frowned upon to not be a supporting member while propositioning sales.

It's legit, although it's had some changes down the line. Original would be Bartolini pickups, and you'd want to find out if it still has the Bart preamp that came in it, or what's installed. There was no 'Dingwall preamp' IIRC. Looks like a 94 or 95.

Bump. Has anyone owned both a Mono Vertigo and a RB Continental Voyager?
I've borrowed a Vertigo, and I really like it. However, the straps are too short for my length (196 cm/6'5"). The bass sticks out too much overhead when on the subway or commuter train, even at maximum length. Can anyone possibly compare the strap lengths on both gigbags?

Thanks in advance. The reason I ask is that the RB is only available to me via online stores. No chance to try it out.

If the strap length is your only dealbreaker, you can probably buy some strap material at a hardware store or online and a seamstress could easily lengthen the straps to spec in under an hour. It would probably cost you $30 or so. A soldering iron with a sacrificial tip could cauterize any cut ends.

Have you tried wearing it upside down? This is a good trick I've recently learned for taking bass cases on airplanes, etc, and should work just as well on the subway.

Any interest in checking out a Gigblade? The new Sliver model is pretty nice. I just got one and it fits my 5 string Spector, and seems like it might have enough room for a Dingwall’s extended scale.

I like the concept, but the need for a water cover makes it less attractive to me.

I have a GigBlade Sliver that I carry my Combustion in and a GigBlade 2 that I carry my Ibanez SRF706 Portamento (6 string fretless in). I ordered the Ibanez from Sweetwater with the GigBlade Sliver, but the Ibanez has an angled head stock and I didn't feel comfortable with it in the narrower bag. The GigBlade 2 is thicker and has more neck support. I also ordered an extra neck foam brace and extra padding for the body since the Ibanez has a slimer body.

I love both of those bags.

Yeah, I see that, but not a concern for me. The bag is a place for the bass to live and is either in the house, the car, or the church. If I lived somewhere that I had to transport a bass by bike or by foot, it would be a much greater concern. I have never put the water cover on either of mine.

so this is for real - i was gunna say this afternoon, that i wished theyd bring back that shape AND the Dingwall logo like yours!! AMAZING!!! 30 years! Wow - THAT i did not know though!

Yep. The original voodoos started being made in 1993/94. I loved the body shape and when the Rastaburst was being specced and I found out they had a template for the Voodoo, I had to do it. At that time Sheldon mentioned during the build that he'd forgotten how much he liked the shape and that there was good feedback so maybe it would resurface in the future. This body was commissioned by Steven Gibson who was sidelined by health issues, and unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) this one is the heart of the 30th anniversary bass.

Of course it's not a full repro, it's got some great updates...like the arm contour, the updated bridge and electronics. I'm guessing that the neck is more than a little sleeker too.
