I ran my SJ through the AO and then into the B7k for a gig last week. Got a massive tone with lots of clarity
Coincidentally, I've been using mine with my SJ5 (E-C). Quite happy.
On a separate note, FWIW, I just tried the Fodera 28100 nickel 5-string set on the SJ and spent a good deal of time adjusting the truss rod, bridge heights, pickup heights, and intonation, and I'm extremely pleased. Punchy sound with nice give and bounce in the feel. They reward a delicate touch. I had tried both the TI Superalloys and RS66s in similar gauges, and both were a bit "tight"
for me. A set of Blue Steels from 1990 (a sister set graces my 1987 MIJ Fender fretless) that were still in the pack had worked decently earlier, as do my D'Addario XLs for my P (yeah, yeah, should be flats...I have Chromes on the Tony Franklin FL), and I was looking for a similar "medium" feel with a "medium hot" sound (based on the table at

Oh, and my wife's new baking scale says my SJ is 8 lbs. 3 oz. (~3.7kg). I knew it was light, but really! Sheldon must inject helium into each one.
