He had no legal or moral obligation to sell the instrument to anybody, regardless of what the OP seems to believe. Every business in the free world has a right to refuse service. He exercised that right. If you want to believe that he did so because of seller's remorse, feel free - I believe that he's being honest and decided to not chance the possibility of seeing almost $10,000 disappear...

As I said, I do live in US for the past 10 years. I fly between us and China every other month from 2015. When we make the deal, I am not in US physically, that's the reason I ask for delivery to my friends' house working at Microsoft.
The KEY point is that he did not say anything regarding payment, but ask me switch to another bass, not the one I paid for. As a matter of fact, he solicited me to buy others from his hand instead of refund right away.
Also to everybody else, I got my bass ordered, I am happy now. I was panic when this matter happened, but one guy read the thread told me how to order directly from fodera. Thanks for the all help. The bad feeling is from his two months later argument saying "red flags" to hide the factual remorse. I am no longer interested in combating for this issue any more to waste my time, given the fact I am a free market believer but hate dishonest/agreement breaker.
HOWEVER, I think this forum should allow accurate and factual report for sellers not honest. I replied to his post in this thread directly and don't mind posting screen shots (of course with confidential information erased)of all the conversations. You guys do your own judgement for the fairness. So far I did not get any response from him. Still, I respect his decision if he still want to keep details non public. I will only post once he agreed.

ok ..enough is enough!! its been months now ! !! if the OP got his refund and a new fodera !! (from factory as stated!)Then why is this topic even a discussion!!!! enjoy your new fodera and move on ! (just my opinion!!)

Well acording to the OP .. Joec73 tried to sell him (op)another bass in exchange of the one (fodera) they originally had agreed on.. why? Got a Better offer maybe? (Just saying , not assuming! ) in fact if I'm not mistaking according to the OP even after all this Joe has contacted him to try and sell him another Bass recently! Again why? And in all fairness joec73 hasn't denied this claim! Once again, why? So if this is true then the hole gut feeliing thing on joes part has to be BS! Why would he want to continue negotiating with the OP considering the apparent Bad history and hisapparent gut feeling! Since joe hasnt denied to Ops bass echage offer claim.. the OP has a good point!! Getting a complete refund has nothing to with it! Even though he got his money back and another fodera he still didnt get the one joec73 Agreed to sell him wish is the one he wanted , he just settled! so Joe is this true , did you offer this poor guy another bass in exchange? Yes or no?

I did have five Foderas for sale in that same thread. It seems like there's a little timeline confusion being introduced... In any case, I promise, I did not contact him recently to sell another bass.
As mention I am not calling him a lier or a bad guy. Just sharing my feelings and actions. I've moved on and I'm glad the OP got a bass he likes.
