Seeing that 2X10 stack makes me want to get me a 2nd one!! As far as amps, I've been enjoying my DNA 1350 a ton (as seen in earlier pics). I'm sure any of the amps you listed would work though.

I had good luck with a Tecamp Puma 900 with my DNS410.

BTW, I'm selling that cab if anyones interested in a 4 ohm DNS410 (Western NC). PM for info, thanks

If it's between the Eden WT-800 (great amp!) and the Ampeg, I'd definitely go with the Eden. Much clearer sound in my opinion. All the Ampeg amps I've ever played through all sound muddy at gig volumes.

I use a WT500/800 with my DNS-410 cab and it just kills it! I would suggest going with the new DNA-800 or the DNA-1350. The DNA-800 is at a really good price but the 1350 has tons of power along with a number of additional features the DNA-800 doesn't have. Both have great clear sound!

My WT500 has the same preamp as the WT800 but without the bi-amp circuitry (which I'd never use anyhow). It was upgraded to 800 watts by David and I bought it from him right after he started DNA. I can tell you that 800-watts into my DNS-410 is HUGE! I never come close to putting that much power into it. The Eden WT800 would be killer with that, but if you want the same amount of power at only 4-lbs of weight instead of the 26-lbs for the WT800, go for the DNA-800.

I have used my 1350 for almost a year now. On top of my DNS-410, it is a monster. I am seriously thinking I should have a 800 as well for those, shall we say, small gigs. Something more than my 250w TC Electronics combo, but not quite as much as the 1350. Something with a small foot print. So, I guess if I pick up the 800, I may just have to have a 1-12 as well

Thanks for all the info and ideas! I definitely like a crisp/clear tone over a wooly/vintage tone! I haven't really considered grabbing a DNA amp...not sure why...but I'll definitely look into them! I'm going to take my time and get the right piece of gear to help achieve the tone I'm looking for! I'm confident I have the right cabs to build everything around!!

I have a gig tonight where I'm running my GK MB500 Fusion > the 2 2x10 stack. I've got a few gigs in the next week or so which will give me a good idea of what I'm 'missing' in my tone. Then it's off to the different shops to test new amps! :D

So I took my new 2x10 stack for its maiden voyage Friday night and HOLY CRAP!!! With the single 2x10, I was running the Gain and Master on my GK MB500 Fusion around 3 o'clock and couldn't really hear myself. On Fri, I had the gain at 12 and the master at 11 and could easily hear myself...even turned the master down a tiny bit after a few tunes!

I've still got some tweaking to do, but I'm definitely pleased with my DNAs!! Can't wait to try some different heads with it and really dial in my sound!

What are some good cable brands to check out. After a power cable incident at a gig this weekend, I realized it's past time to invest in some good quality instrument, speaker and power cables. What brands do you guys use, especially speaker cables. I think both of my current Speakon cables are made by Hosa.

I noticed this weekend that one is 14 gauge and the other is 16 gauge...does mixing/mismatching wire gauge matter in terms of sound quality?

This is the first multiple cab rig, so I'm just making sure I don't blow up a venue or anything! :D

BTW - speaker cable for my PA is a whole different matter. I generally use A/C electrical cords. 13g. I cut the ends off and put Neutrik ends on the Black and White wires. They are extremely inexpensive, work perfectly, do not crack or break under heavy wear and are great for finding a host of different colors too!!

I currently play in 2 bands. My main gig, Natchez Tracers, is a rock band in the vein of Grateful Dead/Allman Bros mixed with Zeppelin/Sabbath with a dash of funk now and again. The band that has 2 guitars, drums and sometimes keys and/or fiddle. My second gig is a 70s/80s rock and pop cover band with 3 guitars, keys and drums. As you can imagine, both gigs can get pretty damn loud. My rig is currently a GK MB500 Fusion > DNA 2x10 8ohm. The places we play typically have limited FOH and I may get put thru the mains, but usually don't have a designated monitor for myself. I'm either sharing with the drummer or guitarist, or I'm up a creek.

The last few gigs, I've felt 'hidden' in the stage mix, even with FoH support couldn't hear myself very well. I've been pushing my amp 3/4+ volume and still not satisfied. I contacted Brian at the Low End and he hooked me up with a second DNA 2x10 yesterday!

I get to take it out for a spin at my gig on Fri, but I can already feel the amp GAS creepin' up. My GK MB500 Fusion has served me well for a few years, but it just comes off waaaay to 'bright' to my ears and I just can't seem to dial it back.

I know the modern amp market is wide open, but what do you folks use with your DNA cabs? I've thought about an Eden WT800 or an Ampeg SVP-Pro/power amp setup. I don't mind 'bigger' amps, but would prefer to not have to lug around an old lead sled or 80lb tube head. I'm confident that I can get what I want in either a micro amp or one of the other two 'larger' amp setups mentioned previously.

What say you DNA users?
I have a DNA1350 available, I have to thin my herd. It is loud.

I know there are a lot of people out there now swearing by the '3 way' semi-custom built cabs for maximum tone and volume.....and that a design like a 2X10 or 4X10 cab is considered 'commercial' and somewhat sub-par (YMMV) to these designs but I gotta tell ya, the DNA 2X10 kicks some booty!! I've had my hands on quite a few cabs (especially 2X10 cabs) and the DNA just gets it done for me every time out and has surpassed any of the others I've had my hands on. Gets loud, goes deep and does everything I need it to. Can't wait to hear the further reviews after you've had more time with the big stack!

Hammered on my DNA 1350 and DNS-410 last night for 2 hours. The super sweet tones coming from the upper portions of the G string to the killer bottom end massive hits on the Open B and most importantly the C just keeps blowing my mind. Clean Clear punchy, but fat heavy bottom. The overtones on passing notes come through brilliantly as well. I can't wait to play her again tomorrow night!!

Hi,

I am interested in your 4x10 if it's still available. PM me details please! Thanks...

Beautiful rig you have here! My main rig for Jamestown Revival is both an early 70s Blackline SVT and an 8x10, as well as a DNA410 powered by an Eden WT300. There are times where I use just the SVT with the DNA410 as well. It's hard to beat an old SVT for unapologetic balls, and I do have to say, the DNA410 handles it incredibly well. It actually has significantly greater low end, air movement, full range with no frequency dips, etc than the 8x10. The downside to the SVT amps is they can be a bit limiting with respect to EQ control, when compared to the Eden. I have no had the chance to try out the DNA heads, yet, but I would imagine that they are absolutely the perfect pairing for any and all DNA cabs.

I found that it is super cool that I am less than an hour drive to TF or DNA! Yea for living in the Midwest! No really. The DNA kills at any speed. Every show I beat the daylights out of my amp. It takes everything and keeps going. Every note, overtone and dig, pluck, pop and everything in between. My DNA is the first amp that gives me a resounding C on my low B string. Highly unusual for my past experiences. If I am above the 15th fret on the G string the notes just come alive. Now I have my 1350 on top of a DNA DNS-410/4Ohm. Power for miles. Keeps up with my 3 guitar players and 2 full trap drummers. Easily.

Hey all!

I bought a 112 micro and paired it with my Old Eden WT800. I only run half the amp so I don't push too much power into it but I love it.I am thinking of either getting the DNA 800 or the 1350. I have the money for both and need some advice as to which to spring for.

Currently, I have an Eden 410 XLT and for pedals use a Darkglass B7K and a Super Symmetry. I would like to keep the 410XLT and WT800 but really don't want to lug the weight around so I want to grab t DNS 112's (not the micro) since I love the micro I have. I play a Warwick Corvette 5 string from the late 90's, a 2004 G&L Fretless 5 string and fretted 5 string, a 64 Gretsch hollowbody, and a 78 Fender Jazz. Hell I might even plug my upright into this thing.

My question is should I spring for the extra watts since I can afford them and may someday in the future get a DNS 410 or save some cash, grab the 800 that would be just enough watts for the 2 DNS 112's? No guarantee on the extra 410 but I have the green light on the 2 DNS 112's and either the 1350 or the 800.

I read through the whole thread. Good to see my buddy from Jamestown Revival is on here

You know, if price is no object, get the DNA1350. Better to have too much than too little.

That said, I have the DNS410 cab and power it with a WT500 that I bought directly from David (hisownself) and he upgraded it to 800 watts bridged (thus I call it my WT500/800). So I run it bridged at 800-watts into my DNS 410 but rarely find myself turning my master above 9:30 because it is just so loud. But hey, if I had two of the DNS410's, then I might use the extra watts. I'd like to get the 1350 myself.
