DNA Owners Group

Well this just showed up on my FB profile. October 2, 2015. My very first show with the brand new DNA 1350 head. I was on tour with Cosmic Railroad and we were in Minneapolis, MN at The Caboose.
Great time. Head still going strong. I have added the DNS 410 since this picture was taken.

More musical? Nope. It does the same thing.
More usable? Yes, you can use the whole range now, not just 30% of it.
That's kind of what I meant by saying musical. I wouldn't dare turn my enhance knob past about 1 click on my old WT-500 or things just went downhill for me. This shape knob you can use in multiple positions and the tone still sounds good....IMO. We're on the same page.

Anyone know if the DNA 800 will go below 4Ohms?
Actually the manual now states that it can do 2 ohms but its not recommended as a standard configuration.
Here's what the manual says:

And note that as Armin pointed out it will not go higher than 800-watts into that 2 ohm load. From the phrasing in the manual it sounds like it might not put out quite 800-watts @ 2 ohms. So I guess the answer is "yes - sort of." You know David had said before with his Eden amps that he made them capable of handling a 2 ohm load because that's what the market demanded (competitors were doing it), but that he thought they sounded and worked best with either 4 ohm or 8 ohm loads.

Very nice Barry! I have one of those from 2015 when the Logo was just silver and black. I see you have the rounded polyurethane wheels on yours. Mine has the more traditional casters and I wish I had your casters. Mine are heavier duty than the old Eden casters were but those rounded edge roller blade-type casters make moving heavy gear easy over a LOT of different surfaces. They also roll easily over carpet, which the standard type often have trouble with. Were you able to order them like that or is that aftermarket?

That's an amazing cab. Hope you enjoy yours half as much as I enjoy mine!

I ordered this cab directly from John Vitale at DNA , he was great to deal with . I ordered the casters with the cab , and they have a special bracket that you bolt on the cab , and it makes them removable . This is the Neo 410 , painted version , 67 lbs . I had a used carpet , older one I loved so much , I ordered this one . Speakers are still in the break-in area , sounds great , best 410 I've heard .

Yeah, John is great to deal with. I got my DNS-210 through him last year. My 210 has the silver, gold, and black Logo whereas my 410 has the older Silver and black logo. So my stack is a mixed bag. I've never used both at once although I stacked them together the first time I used the DNS-210. I was playing in a blues/rock trio and it was not quite a large club but bigger than medium-size.

I wasn't sure my 210 would fill it up OK, so I brought my 410 and stacked the 210 on top of it. I new the DNS-410 was more than enough because with my 800-watt Eden (that I bought directly from David Nordschow back in 2010) I get told to turn down at outdoor festivals if I try to sneak the master on my amp up to 10:30. So I typically run the master at 10 o'clock on outdoor festivals and with the 210 sitting on top of it, I could easily unplug the 210 and plug in the 410 if I needed to .

Not only did I not need to, I had to push the cab over to the side and move it up towards the front of this weird corner stage to get out of the 60° dispersion cone of the speakers because it was killing my ears. Had to move the house speakers over a bit so I could push my amp out from behind me. Sounded great out front, but I'll never stand that close to it at that height again. That first song was painful.

My plan was to get the DNA-800 this year but I only use gig money to buy my gear and since Covid-19 closed everything up that's probably not going to happen until next year. I've played all of 1 gig so far this year. My Eden amp is a WT500 that David upgraded to 800-watts. He used it to design the Eden cabs starting back in 1999. Sounds absolutely great, but weighs about 36-lbs in its rack compared to the 4.8-lbs of the DNA-800 or the 7-lbs of your DNA-1350. You are really going to enjoy that DNA-1350. David just makes great stuff!
