I used to have it up higher when my main bass was a fender jazz, but having the strap button on the neck heel makes it hard to play the 1-5th fret area, especially with a 34" scale. also, my arms are kinda long... so it's just more comfortable.

no pic at the moment, but i wear mine at about belt/hip height. it's the way i've always played, especially since i started as a guitarist
That is by far the most Carvin gear I've ever seen in one place outside of a Carvin showroom. And then I noticed the Carvin shirt. MADNESS!

The body of the Alembic is too big to wear it really high, and having it at this level puts everything in a more comfortable location.
I wear my other two a little higher.

NeoTech. One of the most comfortable straps I used to date. I use them with all my basses. It really makes them feel lighter!
Is it the Super Bass Strap??? I tried the Mega one but couldn't adjust it high enough so I ordered a Super Bass one instead which can go shorter. Can't wait to try it.
The Super Bass is what I have. I have two of them setup with different strap locks. They are very comfy straps. Just wish they came in different colors!
Cool, I don't use straplocks but the leather ends look very sturdy (moreso than the Comfort Strapp) so it should be fine with my oversized strap buttons. My shoulders been getting sore and tired with my current leather strap so this should be a big breath of fresh air!
i cant comment on smiling skull, but i used to love playing tasty world....that place was just cool
High enough to kiss the upper horn without a whole lot of effort. I don't care if I look like a dork - my wrists thank me every time I play.
I keep the bass a bit low, but angle the neck up sharply for fretting comfort. You don't want sharp angles on either wrist, especially when playing long sets.
