Do you believe in ghosts?

Aaaahh, Pascal's wager. The "ya might as well believe cuz if you're right you're good to go and if you're wrong you're just dead" idea.

It doesn't take into account all the other afterlife possibilities that have been dreamt up. Maybe you lose nothing if you're wrong, or maybe you end up in the fields of punishment or the fields of Asphodel. Or perhaps Tartarus if you're especially unlucky.

Yeah, I don't know what happens. I guess you could call it whatever you want, or each person might have a different interpretation of what awaits them, if anything (again, I've never been dead so I can't say for sure what will happen, just know what I believe and have faith in). I suppose we'll all find out one day, whether we want to or not. In the end, it might be the biggest question we ask ourselves while we are alive.

I mentioned in an earlier post about my wife and her kids who seem to have the "gift" of seeing dead people. My brother and nephew were visiting my dad from out of town. We had a get together dinner. My wife was cleaning up in the kitchen. She came into the living room and asked "where's Ian?" I told her "probably in the bathroom purging." She gave me a funny look and went on cleaning. She told me later that she'd seen someone going down the stairs in a red shirt with white hair that had just been curled. My mom had a red shirt that I distinctly remember and she had white hair that she curled until she dyed it. There are no pictures of her like this that my wife has seen. Also, she told me that she was going directly downstairs, which was odd because my dad's place at that time had a landing. The place we lived at when my mom wore her hair like that (and presumably had that shirt I remember) had stairs that went directly down from the kitchen. No, my nephew Ian isn't a cross dresser. My wife saw he was the only one not in the room, and so asked about him, thinking that he could've been the only one that she could've seen (not a purger either BTW). Years later, when at my aunts place, she saw somebody at the top of the stairs standing very straight and erect, one hand in his pocket, the other on the bannister wearing grey slacks, grey sleeveless sweater, and a blue shirt under the sweater. Pretty good description of my uncle who had lived there and died a few years earlier who drove for Calgary Transit for years (that was his uniform) and had remarks made many times on how good his posture was (especially by my mom who was giving me none too subtle hints at how bad mine was).

@rtslinger,..
sounds like the house i grew up in! also, it sounds as if you & yours' are gifted with the "Sight"! IMO, every man, woman, and child are born with this innate ability, but it is systematically suppressed by "church and state"
i was raised in an environment that embraced the 6th sense and it has been very interesting. i've witnessed several events that wholly defy convention. sadly, my experiences are considered nonsense instead of an alternate frontier! oh well,.. no worries,.. i just hope you can enjoy and learn from your extra-dimensional friends. i think they are attracted to your un-canny ability to see them. :)

Listen, my pedigree chum. Trying to spin hockey into figure skating is a futile endeavor. Though I do commend your persistence.

And why do you keep specifying "ice" skating? As opposed to what? Grass skating?

I understand it's the most butch thing you moose-lovers can latch on to, but it's still Dancing On Ice, with sticks.

Do you still have that killer Bontempi medley when you score a goal?
