Do you have a 'brand'?

I've tried a number of basses and have now figured out by feel and sound I am simply a 34" scale, 17.5 mm "Pedulla guy". Doesn't mean I don't like or appreciate other basses, but I now know that is my kind if bass. This fall I will 'thin the herd' appropriately.

They just keep getting it right for me, since 1977, guitars then basses.

Thinking seriously about flirting with ESP/LTD soon. My guitarist uses them and I think I might like their basses.
The Stream is seriously sexy.

I'm a 34" / 17.5mm guy as well, but I wanted something that didn't exist and had Chris Stambaugh make it for me. Now I have three of his basses, and aside from a cheap Precision I won't buy another bass from anyone else.

So what do you have in terms of Pedulla? I have a 17.5 Buzz and it is my favorite of my three.

Can't imagine owning just one 'brand' of bass...or gear for that matter. Nope. Just can't see it. Just can't do it. The world of bass is just too big a place.

I'm adaptable--but overall, I'd say Ibanez--if you include guitars, I have two guitars and one bass that have Ibanez on the headstock.

so warwick for me. how i ever i am looking at LTD RB series bass and possibly, if i can find one, a Schecter 'tele' style bass.

Unless Ryan Martinie starts playing another brand i will probably play warwicks for a looonnggg time.

Heinz 57 here. No particular "brand loyalty" for me.

Variety rules my tastes, from the mundane to the ridiculous.

It's a great time to be a bass player, there's a veritable smorgasbord of bass gear available nowadays!

For me, it's Regenerate Guitar Works, then G&L and Music Man. I have a couple great Warmoths and a Rick Turner, and I've owned plenty of other brands, but the ones that I gravitate to are RGW and G&L, followed closely by EBMM.

I actually prefer 19mm, but there's something I just really like about the G&L and EBMM 5-strings (17mm and 17.5mm, respectively) that makes me overlook the spacing. Part of it is the sound(s), part is the feel of their necks, part is the overall vibe and history of the brands, etc.

I've had a good relationship with Rod at RGW for a long time, so I'm very happy to play his basses and represent Regenerate Guitar Works. Part of the draw for me is the personal interaction, but Rod's basses are easily on par with Sadowsky, Lull, and Lakland, etc.

It's easy to see why you'd like Pedulla - I do too. I sold my Tbolt 5F because I didn't need a fretless. BSD has a used TBolt 5 I've been coveting, but Chris told me it's sold. Besides, he didn't accept my offer of $400, so I ended up with that Ibanez Artcore.

Anyway, I like 34-inch scale, 18 or 19 mm, five-string, bolt-on basses. I've got several brands with those specs - LeCompte, Sadowsky, Fodera, Fender, etc.

Rickenbacker and Peavey for me.

G&L.. I love their stuff.. Custom made and perfect attention to detail.. Their necks are sublime, their finishes great and their electrics work well in the real world.
They also did the artist thing for me, so I'm really proud to use their stuff.

But from time to time I'll also be seen with gibsons, they have something about them that only gibsons do (plus they do a short scale!!)

So G&L covers most of my needs, but for the odd thing they don't.. I'm racking up a gibson.
