I play Bacchus these days, but the best basses I have owned are and in no order of preference because they were all great in their own right:
ESP Amaze 35" 18mm

I think the ideal scale length for me would be 33" but I am comfortable on a 34" most of the time, 35" was maybe a touch on the long side, but i play upright too so it was actually OK. I play regular guitar too so even 32" is fine, 18 or 19 mm pitch is my preference, 20 is a bit too wide for me though.
personally I'd never limit myself to just one brand, but I know what I like and that is why I settled on Bacchus out of all the Japanese basses on the market here in the land of Wa, not just because of build quality, but also the excellent cost-performance available from their range.

I haven't worked through alot of basses, but up to now Ibanez serves me well! I start flirting with a Dingwall, though

It varies all the time, but the only constant it seems is Ibanez.
I have a Fender, too, and several others but I almost always have an Ibanez in the harem. Currently it's a BTB.

My problem is I can't decide on just one. They're like beautiful women. I love 'em all.
Warwick is what does it for me. There are other basses that are nice, play well, and sound great, but I find Warwick necks and bodies feel like home. They also let me get the tone I have in my head, so that's a pretty nice perk!
I go with Fender. I've had a a few other brands, but I keep going back to Fenders. I like the the sound, and the feel of the neck on the Am. Std.'s.

Another "Classic" Peavey guy here. I've got "T-Series Disease". I haven't found one I don't like yet!
I'm also a Fender guy (by way of Squier). I added up the cost of all five of my Squiers, and it didn't even reach the street price of ONE Fender AVRI '75. So I like 'em both, but Squiers match my budget better than Fender. I'm also amused by how much I'm enjoying my first "Beatle Bass" clone. It's a Rogue. Which I'm sure has a lot in common with all the rest of the Hofner knockoffs. As with Fender, my budget is more comfortable with the Rogue.
So, I guess I'm like a lot of others here. I like more than one "brand".

I currently own basses by Fender, Music Man, Peavey and Schecter. I'd love to try out a Lakland and/or a G&L.

Spector has always been my brand of choice. I now also own a 4 string fender jazz because I think it's a good idea for every bassist to have a jazz, but still always play my Spectors.
If I had to pick just one, it would be Ibanez. For amps it would be GK if I were reduced to just one. I'm a creature of variety though, I like the Squiers I have for a different type of feel. Matt Freeman sig is just beastly.
+1 on the PeaveyPeavey. Cheap and good quality. Sounds good to me
And add Birdsong to it.
