Do you name your pets weird names?

My friend in H.S. had a daschund named "Damnit"... 1st time I went to his house I hear his mother calling out "Come here Damnit!," then saw a little brown dog running towards the kitchen. The funniest part about this is they were a VERY strict Mormon family, minus the dog's name:)

I think every dog since I've been a kid (Except for one) was named when we got them--and so the re was only one we named--after it's size--Tiny (Hey--I was a small child & got to name the dog--I went with what worked.)
If I ever get to name a dog in the future I think I'd go with a name that's a pun on Dog or the breed of dog it is.

Funny. I've been suggesting Chairman Meow for years, no takers.
My girlfriend's cat is Chairman Meow. That cat sucks.

Past pet names worth of mention:
Woogie (pronounced would-gee) a sheep dog
Bacon (dwarf hen)
Birdie (a dove)
Mushie (black lab)
Skidittle (calico cat)
Pywhackett and Pancake (cats, both eaten by one of our dogs in the same afternoon)

Growing up we had 19 cats and 7 dogs at peak ownership. There sure were a lot of strange names for them but I think they were running out of ideas. My mom, however, successfully transitioned from a crazy lady to a crazy bird lady. So less animals, more antics.

The pets I own now as an adult all have relatively normal names. The dove is still kicking and I have two pit Bulls and a hound. Lady, Zeus, and Piper respectively.

Lady is probably the most endearing. If you sing *she's a lady* she starts wagging her tail and goes *bow wow wow*. She also sneaks into bed sometimes and I wake up spooning the dog. Attached is a picture of her from this morning when my girlfriend and I woke up with the interloper.
