Do you name your pets weird names?

Cat- Cosmo.
Horse- Lightning.

My Truck- Mortimer.
Wife's Truck- Gretchen.

9+ years later....

Dogs- Lucas and Mandy.
Cats- Arthur and Henry.
Horse- Lightning.

My truck- Dalton.
Wife's truck- Stacey.

I didn't do it, but about fourteen years ago, my son name our new kitten "Sheherazade". Such a big name for a little ball of fluff! She's grown into it, but I usually call her "Miss Kitty".

My "ex" (it's complicated) is a big Peter Gabriel fan. She has a little cat named Levin, after Tony. She got to meet Tony at a Stick Men show last year. IIRC, she meant to take a photo of Levin the cat for him to sign, but forgot.

I also know someone who had a cat (sadly passed away) named Kilo, short for Kilogram. Fluffy white Persian. The name had no special significance, owner just thought it sounded silly as a cat name.

I now live with a cat named KISS KISS KITTY. My fiance was 10 years old when they got the kitty and the kitty is now 15 years old. At least once a week I walk by her and sing " kiss kiss Kitty meow meow meow kiss kiss kitty meow meow meow meow" to the tune of Ted Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever

My sister names her dogs after characters from classic animated movies.

Yukon Cornelius (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer)
Nicodemus (The Secret of Nimh)

Named all of our dogs after jazz musicians.. we had a full rhythm section of German Shepherds (pianist Bill (Evans), bassist Mingus, and drummer Mel (Lewis) ), a jazz cornet playing coydog ( Nat (Adderley)), a flat-coated retriever chick singer (Abbey (Lincoln)), a Cuban jazz saxophonist Chihuahua (Paquito (D'Rivera)), and currently we have a guitarist Kelpie (Freddie (Green)) and another bassist Bernese Mountain Dog, Chuck (Israels).

There was a snake in my yard named Mr Slithersby, an owl named Jeff and a rabbit named Barthmellow. Jeff had babies. Haven’t seen the snake lately.

We had a Ball Python for twenty years, and named him Fluffy. For some reason, he refused to eat one of the rats we fed him, so we kept the rat as a pet and named her Lucky. We also stopped feeding him rats; I had no idea rats were so intelligent and affectionate. She lived for three years and was a delightful pet.

We adopted two orange sister cats that already had names at the animal shelter. Porsche and Lamborghini. They had two sisters that were already adopted named Bugatti and Aston Martin. Their mothers name is Ferrari.

Porsche is now either Dingdong or P-cat. Lamborghini is just Lambo.
