Look at it this way:
Does it stand the test of time?

Thriller is the best selling record I think at something like 115 million copies sold?
The second best is ACDC,s back in black at around 50-60 million.

I hear a lot more songs from BIB on classic radio rather than the none from thriller. Pop is pop, it come and it goes.

Thriller is musically historical and even has some good tracks though.

My dad was working part-time in a record store to help make ends meet when it came out. He actually got the promo copy and gave it to me and my sister a few weeks before it came out. I've had a copy ever since and still listen to it on occasion.
