I have a bass in the living room, bedroom and the spare room,all on stands. I love looking at them and having them ready to play on a whim. Kids are grown and the cat doesn't mess with them.
I bought them,I'm going to use them,they will never be collectors items! View attachment 3704320

All of mine stay in their cases when not being used. Only one isn't in its case, it hangs on the wall right beside my desk about 5' away to my right.

Mine are on wall hangers so I can see them, like artwork to be enjoyed, and easy to grab.

I see cases as coffins, and I wouldn't do that to any of my basses.
