Bass chord amp cab...only because I wouldn't know what to do with a pedal. I had an envelope filter but I I just play with it at home.

so that's why the pedal is always out of stock... i want to mention something like PM me if you are selling one of them but being 2000 dollar in debt doesnt allow me to gas any further HAHA!

I actually have 3 and a 4th pre-order on the way. ....
And I still haven't really figured out how to use *one*.
Man that pedal has to be the absolute antithesis of Bass-cable-amp. Nothing could be further from your natural sound.

I normally plug my amp head into my cabinet...whatever works for you.
We've started a weekly gig at a place with a full PA/backline. Even though I hate the amp they have, I bring a bass, cable and headstock tuner and that's it.
When we play at other places, then I bring a small pedalboard with a wireless and a Zoom B3, but that's it.

Always without pedals except for one band in the 90's. With that one I ran a Rat pedal through an SVT classic. Devastating bass tone to say the least but that is not my sound anymore. I have toyed with the idea of a Sansamp because of what I read on here (just for fun and versatility) but I could live without it.
Do you feel that the thread was genuinely meant to ask a question or to make a statement?
this is definitely me....for 30+ years. I think in high school I would insert a chorus pedal just to experiment...but never used outside of the practice room.
I grew up - and am still part of the hardcore punk scene(I guess?....since you never really "leave" the scene) so it was usually plug my p bass into whatever cab was there.

I'm taking it one step further this Sunday - operation silent stage will come to fruition and I'm bringing my bass only, into house DI.

Sounds like my setup bass into Ashdown rig. Since i play alone I use a looper but I wouldn't count that as sound modifiers or enhancers

No pedals. Occasionally an Fdeck HPF or an old "Over Easy" compressor to help a power challenged rig, but if I'm using my rig and a Fearless cab, all I use is a cable (or Line six Relay wireless).
I love the Sans Amp Di and my Carl Martin Bass Drive with the cool little glowing Tube in it! Chorus pedal is nice over the top too. I use to have a Bass Pod XT and loved the tones but man my low end would disappear.
Lately, I run DI from the pre in my GK amp to the FOH, but use a few toys in what I hear on the stage. The others up there kind of like all the cool sounds, but the audience (it's a church) probably can do without them. Which is fine. We have fun and they don't know it! The praise singers really like the sounds - minister of music doesn't care so much. So it's really sort of both.
