I'm the same way, although I'd accept clear as well. Don't have a Ford, though.Any colour as long as it is black. I also own a Ford... coincidence?
Seriously, I wear a lot of black on stage so a black strap just blends in. I don't want the strap to show up.
You'd hate me then. Up until my shoulder started giving me trouble, I used the cheapest black seat belt straps I could find. But now I have to spend a little more because of the shoulder.Yes. I'm always a bit surprised when I see expensive, beautiful instruments with cheap, ugly straps.

My straps are all black. It goes with pretty much everything. I might try a brown one, though. Like a dark brown leather, for my blue sunburst bass.Usually I do. Sunburst gets a brown strap. Natural basses might get a tan colored strap. Some get black depending on what color they are and I try to match them to my different basses.
Since lots of people care so much about the color of their bass, the strap you wear with it is somewhat important, no? I mean - straps are pretty visible on stage.
I have a white Stingray with a white pickguard, and I'm considering a white strap to go along with it. Too much?
As Henry Ford famously said, any color as long as it's black.
This made me wonder if people match their clothes they wear on stage, to their bass. I never once considered it in all the live playing I've ever done.
