Does anyone care about strap color?

For many years I only had one strap, a black one handmade by a friend as a present, but it got lost or stolen after a gig. Another friend gave me a shiny purple Levy's that never felt right - too showy. Now I have a dark green Gaucho, very good, and another, simpler black one with no padding. Both go well with tobacco sunburst and natural.

I pick a color that works with the bass, I have all black, black with natural back, lighter brown, darker brown, white, and just bought a rusty sort of color to match the tortoise pickguard for a mod I'm going to do sometime in July of a Rondo bass uke into a Fender Jaguar style off white.

Usually I do. Sunburst gets a brown strap. Natural basses might get a tan colored strap. Some get black depending on what color they are and I try to match them to my different basses.

Since lots of people care so much about the color of their bass, the strap you wear with it is somewhat important, no? I mean - straps are pretty visible on stage.

I have a white Stingray with a white pickguard, and I'm considering a white strap to go along with it. Too much?
My straps are all black. It goes with pretty much everything. I might try a brown one, though. Like a dark brown leather, for my blue sunburst bass.

This made me wonder if people match their clothes they wear on stage, to their bass. I never once considered it in all the live playing I've ever done.

I didn't give it much thought until I started gigging my MIM Classic 50P in Honey Blonde...I made some terrible choices shirt wise....now I try to stick to 'light coloured bass = dark coloured shirt and vice versa.

Straps - black on white or black basses, tan on naturals...
