Yes. The detailed poll choices were structured in a way to lead the group towards a consensus that favors the OP's viewpoint. The OP even gives his preference within the description of one of the choices.

Poll: Dogs or Cats

1. Would you like the companionship of a lovable puppy who spends his entire day happily following you around, like the wonderful dog I have and love?

2. Do you want some shifty-eyed cat that sleeps 16 hours a day, ignores you when he is awake, and only pays attention to you when he want's something to eat?

Good poll questions should be neutral, or at least balanced, and relevant to one another.
A 2"x2" post-it note size amp vs a fill-in-the-blank for whatever size you want, does not accomplish the above.
Hardly an apples to apples choice which renders the poll to be one that many won't take seriously, if that was the intent.

However as a fun, thought provoking discussion of the state of modern bass amps, the OP's question hits the bullseye.

I have happily played many gigs with just an HX Stomp and IEMs, so I'm happy as long as I can hear myself clearly; I don't have any phallocentric need to have big cabs behind me.

But...if there's going to be a volume war, I don't want to be bringing a knife to the gunfight.

And realistically, the larger festival shows where I brought a cab were some of the most enjoyable shows; having the cab shake the floor while the IEMs provided detail and clarity was the best of both worlds.

Crap. I just got a cat. So, what is the best cat for metal?

My plan is to learn how to manipulate the universe at the quantum level, and thus manifest whatever rig I desire whenever and wherever I need it. Some might think that this is a frivolous use of omnipotence, but that’s kind of the point of being omnipotent.

I don’t see that in your “poll”. Let me see if I can will that option into existence on the initial post. Fair warning, I’m still learning how all this omnipotence stuff works, so I may delete this thread by accident.
