When you were young you decided to become a guitarist to get the chicks
But when you tried to join a band they already had 3 guitarist
So you decided to become a bass player
So you became a bass player figuring you could still get the chicks
Soon you found out the chicks don’t love bass players so you got no chicks
Don’t decide to become a bass player and you’ll get the chicks
This was me to a T back in the day. In '97 bought my first electric guitar and amp and started playing it. Shortly after some buddies and I got together and had little jam sessions, mostly just messing around, but we also played a few covers and wrote some original stuff. Then a couple years later I joined a band. Already had two guitar players and I did not have any desire to play drums or sing...so I took up the bass and now I am a bass player. Still at it today and I am proud to be one. I can look past and don't let bother me all the stereotypes of being "the bass player." I am both a bassist and guitarist.
