Don't become a bass player

The whole "how you move your plucking hand" thing is 100% true. It is even the source of my handle, which came about in 1988. Of course, having a real name of Hank also brings in a bit of rhyme and alliteration. What began as an innocent call from a bandleader to take a 4-bar slap solo break has become, in large part, my online identity. When giving out my handle (it's on my biz card, and is the root of some of my e-mail account names), I get a lot of different reaction, but it always brings a smile to my face, when an attractive woman does not see my biz card, but gets the e-mail address, and immediately asks if I play bass. My natural follow up question (unless the answer is already obvious) is an inquiry into her relationship status.
