I got ya beat on this one:

I don't like macaroni 'n cheese. A lot of people find this upsetting and respond with "...well, you've never had it like I make it!". Sorry, keep it off my plate and out of my house.

Riis

lol always with that line. I get that with both Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. “But you’ve never had it the way I make it. You’ll love it”. Lemme guess, you put marshmallows on top and brown sugar so it all caramelizes just like everyone else. “Well yeah, but..”

or make the Mac and cheese with 4 kinds of cheese and bread crumbs on top so it still tastes pretty bland. If you’re not putting cayenne pepper and red onion in that or something to give it some flavor I’m going to pass.

Are you not happy with your current set-up/sound, or is it just a case of G.A.S.?
I can`t say I use or need FX pedals for the stuff I`m playing, although I do have a compressor/gate and a sansamp RBI in my rack. I`m pretty minimalistic (and old) and the less I have to haul around the better.

Folks, per the forum rules, posting anything in the effects forum phrased in a manner that could be construed as insulting the use of effects in general by bassists will be considered trolling.

The OP may PM me if the question was indeed sincere and we will discuss reopening this thread.
