May have been covered before but looking for a doomy/wall of fuzz sound that sounds like my amp is being pushed to its limits, take pissed jeans as inspiration-

For my $0.02 it sounds like a Muff clone of some kind going into an overdriven tube amp. I'm hearing something a little synthy too, so maybe a lightly blended autowah or octave.

Also you could try a feedback loop. Most dirt pedals go crazy with one of those.

Agreed just ask the band. I seriously doubt a band like that is running some complicated setup with lightly blended filters and junk. I'd all but guarantee it's a lot simpler and less boutique than anyone is suggesting.

I'm also in agreeance that it sounds like a Russian big muff into a cranked tube amp, losing some of that high end sizzle but getting a lot of mids and feedback as the output section compresses the signal.

I'd recommend an Earthbound Pale Mare or a Baby Thundaa.

My preferred "time to blow things up" fuzzes come out my source audio aftershock. Run a fuzz with medium drive in parallel with a very angry fold back and you'll be losing neighbors

The baby thundaa is harder to get hold of in Uk being discontinued, the eau Claire seems similar but with more options

Pretty sure some sort of muff through a loud rig is enough to get started. When I am in the mood for those kind of d00ms I use my non-fancy muff and open up the master on my amp (300w tube) through the 8x10 stack. Hard to have complaints with that type of earthquake.

The fuzz war is a great pedal for either guitar or bass. It has a massive frequency range! Also it's ridiculously L O U D!

Definitely worth the money. A few of my friends have brought a few fuzz war clones and they sound just as good.

The Devi Ever Silver Rose is basically a Tall Font Muff and a Superfuzz in one pedal, you could probably get any kind of crazy fuzz out of it.

with what you have there FuzzWar into VMT into the Pharoah but that is honesty over kill.. when you get that sound for under a hundred dollars or less.. lol

Already got a deluxe bass big muff which im soon to replace with a cog grand tarkin and can get close with that, my VMT and diabolik but just want another fuzz to really mess up the sound which at the minute looks like the fuzz war, eau Claire or pharaoh
