I have a buddy who's a doom bassist. He owns probably six or seven fuzz pedals, and he swears by the Megalith.

Yeah I've heard about that but the only demo's I've seen have sounded harsh on the high end and a bit fizzy
Yeah I find most of his Demo's sound the same to me and every fuzz sounds harsh, I've done some more research and like the sound of the megalith just considering the eau Claire and fuzz war too but can't make a decision hahaAre they the Mr.Ex demos? I see those on the website, and that dude has a very personal stylized tone (which others have commented on) that makes me go limp for every pedal he touches. I've never heard one of his demos that didn't sound harsh in the highs. His rig and style aren't my thing, so it might be worth considering the demos are not representative. That said, I've never played one of these boxes. I just started looking at them from reading this thread. YMMV
Here's some Pale Mare action I made over the weekend.
I want it more sludgy though, so pale mare may be the route..It sounds like a big muff to me.
Seeing glimpses of an SVT classic & 8x10 here - can't see pedals though.
Will look into it, cheers!I think that the Silver Rose v2 will do the trick, two parallel monster fuzzes in one pedal.

Yeah, I'm only using this a basis though and thinking a pale mare or a silver rose may be the ticket...I get that but I think it's just some muff derivative into a tube amp. A 2x15 cab might also be part of that sound.
Really really like the silver rose, sounds perfect for what I want, cheers!I think that the Silver Rose v2 will do the trick, two parallel monster fuzzes in one pedal.
The earthbound stuff sounds pretty good and they have a lot of choice, I'd probably go for the pale mare of their pedalsI'm a huge fan of the earthbound audio centurion. It is less compressed and less smooth than a muff. More aggressive and ripping.
They look mint, just need to decide whether to shell out the extra for a silver rose or not...Pretty good is and understatement for his build quality
