Double discount at Guitar Center

+1!

This is also a nice bonding experience with fellow members. Sometimes it's the journey not the destination.

Yeah, it's really just for fun as far as I'm concerned. I'm really excited about it, but it's more the suspense than getting the stuff for cheap.

I mean, if someone told me that I was going to get a $1000 prize, I'd be happy, but it wouldn't be that big a deal. But somehow, the thought of getting a Stingray at a $1000 discount has me all hot and bothered. And before yesterday I didn't even particularly want a Stingray (or a Longhorn or a POG2). It's just compulsive behavior, but relatively harmless.

Same here. I wasn't necessarily jonesing for a Beatle bass but I played them before and liked them. When I saw I could get it for $25 bucks I figured what the hell.

Ha. Read my profile and see how "harmless" it is! I can't turn around in this place for all the crap I've bought, and now I may have added an insanely overpriced POS Masonite bass with guitar machines, with a resale value so bad I won't be able to flip it profitably even after a 40% + $50 discount.

You and me both, brother! Maybe we can start a "parents of unwanted Longhorns" support group! Except I used all 7 discounts for the Dano, so it ended up costing $16. I figure I can get at least that much back out of it if I decide to flip it.
