Double discount at Guitar Center

All three of my orders have now hit my card as pending charges. The most recent one hit in the last hour, so things are still processing. I've rec'd tracking # for one order, and all three show as "approved" on the GC site. I still think this likely won't work out in the end, but it's kinda fun and suspensful for now!

I have three approved orders with one shipping confirmation. The one with shipping confirmation was placed about 11pm PDT last night. It was for a POG2 using the original three discounts. The other orders were placed later last night and early this morning using all 7 discounts. Those have hit my card and are "approved," but no shipping confirmation yet. The one with shipping confirmation still does not show up in UPS's database.

Interesting... Did you get it for the price you paid? What else did they do? Are they still pursuing you about this?
I had the same deal with the speakers from AM. I received the speakers, but then a couple weeks later they started sending me bills and collection notices every day. For each Paypal bill I canceled, they'd send another right away. Eventually I gave up and sent them the speakers back, just to not have to deal with it. I could blow them off, but "real" collection agencies will not let you rest. At any rate, I made them pay for the return postage, so I wasn't out of pocket one penny. Just a hassle though. This was maybe five or six months ago.

You should have used a CC. Pay pal is a joke. Capital One would have told them to pound sand

Ha, you gave up way to easy. If they had a price up, approved the sale, billed you, you payed, and then they sent the item they arent really allowed to just send you bills to make up the difference because of their mistake. Just because they hire some ******* to nag you about it doesnt mean you legally owe them anything. Its more of a scare tactic places use to try and make up loss. Legally they would just get laughed at for it and if you contact the collection agency you can often have them stop if you explain the situation or opt to take action against them for a false claim.

You're probably right, but the thing is they never took a dime out of my account. And they canceled the original Paypal invoice. So it was like I never paid them. The only reason they agreed to pay the return postage was because I had printouts of the original deal from their site, and the confirmation email with the amounts.
