I just did the math. According to studies, when you lead an army of horses in battle against an army of giraffes,
the point where they are evenly matched is when you set 2.719.243 horses against 1.000.000 giraffes (they seem so gentle, but apparently turn to vicious beasts when you whip them up into battle frenzy).
Given that one metric horsepower equals 735,499 watts, that means that one giraffe power equals exactly 2000 Watts, making it a much more convenient factor to use when it becomes necessary to do giraffe to metric conversions.
