I always hated playing sweet alabama until I actually listened to the song and learned it. I'm embarrassed to think how many time I may have played it thinking it was the same 3 notes over and over. The song has a very well thought out bass line with a lot of changes that pretty much rocks - and is even a bit challenging at certain points. Played correctly it's a pretty fun song to do. Why I'm posting this I have no idea. Maybe fer deluxe, listen to what's going on.... while I just kinda jumped through your vids, I'm pretty sure you're missing the whole groove thing under the solo in that one. A bit of constructive criticism?

thought it was some good playing. maybe more so because i dislike playing in pool rooms, but i do it too.

I've been blessed to have played with some awesome musicians - no guitards, drumtards, keytards....

The guitarist/singer and I have been together for about 8 years now, and done about 4-5 different bands.


This thread has turned into something really cool, cuz I've seen a lot of great acts... keep 'em coming!!!

We accept the fact that we are just a group of old farts doing the music of our youth. But hey, we stay booked and always get paid & laid. It's fun being a weekend warrior.

Thanks for the honest feedback F.B.V. But the sexy blonde in the band is more than just eye candy. She is actually the bands vocal coach and sings front on about 30% of our tunes and does harmony on just about everything else.

PS: we always slide her shots of Jack to get her to loosen up at shows. Once those hips start rockin', watch out baby :D

Hey Smogg,
She does have good pipes for sure and it does look like you stay really busy with all of your bookings.
We are almost there as far as getting the bugs worked out with my main band,we have great vocals but a guitarist that struggles a little with his backup vocals and rythym and we have a great sound when were on but the band lacks musical communication and it is keeping us from progressing like we should.
Now my second band is much tighter musically with average vocals but great communication and not as dancable as a set list but still alot of fun.
I don't think that I could even make the time to play as often as you guys do.
Your Commitment shows for sure,keep up the good work.
